On the occasion of World Giraffe Day 2025, Indira Gandhi Zoological Park conducted a special session titled “A Day with Giraffes in IGZP” on 21 June 2025 to raise awareness about the world’s tallest land mammal and the importance of giraffe conservation.

While the giraffes peacefully munched on their feed nearby, children gathered under a shady tree, observing them with curiosity and sharing their favourite giraffe facts.

The programme included a lively storytelling session about giraffes, an interactive talk with the animal keeper, hands-on learning about giraffe diets, and a creative giraffe mask-making workshop.

The engaging activities made the day an exciting and memorable experience, encouraging young minds to appreciate wildlife and understand the importance of its conservation.
