ARC Centre

The Animal Rescue Centre constructed near Indira Gandhi Zoo Park, Visakhapatnam has housed Lions and Tigers since 2001. Rescued from Circuses around the nation, ARC at Vizag has played a major role in the rehabilitation of several animals. Apart from Lions and Tigers, it also rehabilitates Crocodiles, Tortoises, and Sloth Bear upon necessity. Also, Alexandrine Parakeet chicks rescued from Wildlife Trafficking at Vizag railway station were housed in ARC. Special arrangements were made to maintain temperature and provide nourishments for the chicks.
