Shri Sribharat Mathukumilli, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Visakhapatnam, visited the Indira Gandhi Zoological Park and enquired about the animal collection, animal health and ongoing developmental activities. He appreciated the Zoo's overall maintenance and management.

During the visit, Sri B. Mohamed Diwan Mydeen, Conservator of Forests, Visakhapatnam, and Smt. G. Mangamma, Curator, IGZP, briefed him on the Zoo's rich biodiversity, developmental initiatives and upcoming projects focused on visitor experience, conservation and animal enrichment.

Shri Sribharat expressed that both the State and Central Governments aim to develop IGZP into a world-class facility in the next six to seven years and encouraged corporate support through CSR initiatives.

He also interacted with animal keepers and visitors, appreciated their feedback and promoted the Animal Adoption Scheme, encouraging citizens to actively support wildlife conservation.
