Zoo is open. Here’s what you need to know!

It is informed that the Government of Andhra Pradesh has issued permission for reopening of Indira Gandhi Zoological Park, Visakhapatnam for visitors duly following the guidelines issued by the MOHA, Gol and as per the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) issued by the Central Zoo Authority, New Delhi, in view of prevailing COVID-19.

Hence, the Indira Gandhi Zoological Park, Visakhapatnam will reopen for public/visitors from 17.11.2020 onwards as per the instructions issued by the Prl.Chief Conservator of Forests (HoFF), Andhra Pradesh, Guntur and Conservator of Forests, Visakhapatnam duly following the guidelines & SOPs.

The visitors are strongly advised to wear mask and exercise social distancing norms. Thermal scanning of visitors and presence of mask will be checked for at the gate and accordingly entry will be given.

Visitors have an option to book tickets in online platform of our website www.vizagzoo.com and it is advised to book online tickets which will reduce the contact between the visitors and the Zoo staff.

Visitors should note that no outside food, plastics or crackers will be allowed inside the Zoo campus. It is requested to all the visitors to exercise social distancing norms for safety of their own, Zoo staff and the animals in Zoo.

Visitors will have time slots and a time limit to visit the zoo:
Slot 1 - 9 AM - 11 AM
Slot 2 - 11 AM - 1 PM
Slot 3 - 1 PM - 3 PM
Slot 4 - 3 PM - 5 PM

If anyone is found disobeying the rules of Zoo and COVID-19 social distancing norms, fine will be imposed.
