As part of their ongoing training programme, the 11th batch of Forest Section Officers visited Indira Gandhi Zoological Park on 23 July 2026.

During the visit, an insightful session on animal treatment and healthcare management was addressed by Dr. P. Bhanu, Senior Veterinarian, IGZP.

The training programme also included engaging sessions on zoo management practices and animal behaviour, addressed by Mr. M. Purushottam, Conservation Biologist, and Ms. B. Divya, Zoo Education Officer.

The sessions aimed to enhance the officers’ understanding of zoo operations, animal welfare and conservation practices, while fostering a deeper appreciation of the efforts involved in wildlife care and management.
